SubjectWell Appoints Veteran Healthcare Finance Leader Karl Stubelis as Chief Financial Officer

A seasoned executive with more than 25 years of leadership across high-growth healthcare, life sciences, and technology companies, Stubelis will oversee SubjectWell’s financial strategy as the company continues to scale its platform and expand its global reach. 

Stubelis brings a deep track record of success across venture-backed startups, private equity portfolio companies, and publicly traded firms. Most recently, he served as CFO at Verb Biotics, where he led financial strategy in the emerging probiotics sector. Prior to that, he held senior roles at Exact Sciences and Thrive Earlier Detection, playing a pivotal role in Thrive’s multi-billion-dollar acquisition by Exact. Stubelis has also served as CFO at several SaaS healthcare companies including Athenahealth, Ovia Health, and Arcadia. 

At Athenahealth, Stubelis served as both CFO and SVP during a transformative period, managing global financial operations while navigating public markets, activist investors, and regulatory shifts. Earlier in his career, he held international finance leadership roles at Sapient, overseeing teams and integrations across 15+ countries.
