Renaissance Expands RenConnect℠ to Deliver More Efficient Benefits Administration

Small-group EDI integration breaks market norms bringing automation and accuracy to ancillary benefits administration for groups of any size.

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Renaissance Life & Health Insurance Company of America announced expanded capabilities with RenConnectSM, its data exchange platform that simplifies benefits implementation for brokers and employers. By offering seamless electronic data interchange (EDI) for groups of all sizes, including those with less than 100 members, Renaissance is providing a new level of efficiency and accuracy that stands out in the ancillary benefits market.

Introduced in 2024, RenConnectSM was designed to reduce administrative burdens and accelerate access to benefits for Renaissance customers. RenConnectSM links Renaissance with employer groups and brokers across its product lines, including dental, vision, life, disability and accident insurance. The scalable system supports multiple groups at once delivering fast setup, consistent accuracy and reduced manual work for benefits administrators.

RenConnectSM Saves Time and Boosts Customer Experience for Groups Large and Small

“Traditionally, EDI has been reserved for larger employers, leaving smaller groups to rely on manual updates that can be time-consuming and prone to errors,” said Earl Shaw, chief information officer at Renaissance. “We have removed this barrier by enabling automated file feeds for groups of every size. Multiple groups are already benefiting from this enhanced functionality with additional groups preparing to adopt the system in the coming months.”

Early results demonstrate that RenConnectSM not only reduces administrative burdens but also increases accuracy across eligibility updates, billing and claims processing.

Fast, Accurate New Group Implementation

In addition, RenConnectSM is helping Renaissance redefine new group implementation. By using data provided upfront during the quoting process, 70 percent of implementation is already completed at the quoting stage. When an employer is ready to move forward, only a few final steps remain, allowing groups to launch faster with a smoother experience for employers, brokers and members.
