TORONTO, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — PointClickCare, a leading health tech company helping providers deliver exceptional care, today announced the appointment of Armughan Ahmad to the company’s board of directors.

Ahmad brings over 25 years of enterprise technology leadership and has built and led multi-billion-dollar businesses through the industry’s major platform shifts, from enterprise data centers to cloud computing to today’s era of artificial intelligence. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Appen (ASX: APX), an AI data company serving leading AI labs, hyperscalers, and large enterprises. Prior to Appen, he was President and Managing Partner of Digital at KPMG, where he led the digital business delivering services with software products. Earlier he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Dell Technologies, where he oversaw the Hybrid Cloud and High-Performance Computing solutions portfolio, including bringing AI systems to market with NVIDIA.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Armughan to our board of directors. As we continue to advance our vision of an AI-first future for healthcare, his extensive track record of scaling technology businesses and guiding AI strategies through major industry shifts will be invaluable,” said Dave Wessinger, co-founder and chief executive officer at PointClickCare. “Armughan’s deep AI expertise and strategic vision will support our efforts to drive clinical and operational innovation for our customers.”
Today, Ahmad actively advises C-suite executives on leveraging AI to turn services into software and invests in AI-first software start-ups. He currently serves as an independent board director at Flexential, which manages 40 data centers across the U.S., and as a board director of Trillium Health Partners, a leading Ontario hospital system. Ahmad holds honorary Doctor of Laws degrees from McMaster University (DeGroote School of Business) and the University of Waterloo (Faculty of Engineering).
“PointClickCare is at the forefront of healthcare technology, leveraging data and innovation to make a real impact on care delivery and patient outcomes,” said Ahmad. “I am honored to join the board at such a pivotal time in the company’s evolution and look forward to collaborating with the entire leadership team to accelerate our AI strategy and fuel the next phase of growth.”
Ahmad’s appointment further enhances PointClickCare’s board capabilities across technology, SaaS, and AI sectors. Concurrent with this transition, Rob Eberle has concluded his service on the board of directors.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to Rob for his leadership, dedication, and valuable contributions to PointClickCare during his 11+ years on the board,” said Wessinger.
