PhaseV Appoints Biopharma Leaders Klaus Beck and Avi Kulkarni to Scientific Advisory Board to Guide Expansion of AI Conductor

Pharmaceutical R&D and Life Sciences Veterans Will Advise PhaseV as it Scales AI Platform to Bridge the Gap Between Clinical Development Strategy, Execution and Regulatory Submission

BOSTON, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — PhaseV, a leader in machine learning for clinical development, today announced the appointment of Klaus Beck, MD, PhD, PhD, former Chief Medical Officer of Organon, and Avi Kulkarni, PhD, MBA, CEO of InoRx, to its Scientific Advisory Board.

Dr. Beck and Dr. Kulkarni bring decades of leadership across pharmaceutical R&D, clinical development, clinical operations, regulatory strategy, enterprise technology and organizational transformation. Their complementary experience will help PhaseV expand AI Conductor and apply causal machine learning and Bayesian adaptive methods across the clinical development lifecycle.

Clinical development often involves multiple teams, systems and vendors, creating opportunities for delays, inconsistencies and repeated work. PhaseV helps sponsors connect these activities in a continuous, traceable workflow. Its platform uses causal machine learning and Bayesian adaptive methods to support trial design and development decisions. AI Conductor extends these capabilities by connecting and streamlining protocols, statistical analysis plans, case report forms, clinical data standards, tables, listings, figures and clinical study reports. This integrated approach helps sponsors move programs forward with greater speed, consistency and confidence.

“Klaus and Avi have each spent decades managing the scientific, operational and technology challenges that shape clinical development,” said Raviv Pryluk, PhD, CEO and Co-founder of PhaseV. “Their decision to join our Scientific Advisory Board reflects the need for a more connected approach across the development lifecycle. Their guidance will help us ensure that AI Conductor addresses the realities facing clinical teams and delivers value at enterprise scale.”

Dr. Beck brings more than 30 years of industry and academic experience spanning discovery research, translational medicine, global clinical development, patient safety and medical affairs. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Organon, where he built and led global clinical development, safety and corporate R&D governance. He has also held senior executive roles at Merck & Co. (MSD), Amgen, Genentech and AstraZeneca, leading international teams from discovery through global Phase 1 to Phase 4 filings. He earned an MD and PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Heidelberg and a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Southern California.

“Clinical development teams must align trial design, evidence generation, regulatory requirements, health technology assessment and reimbursement needs,” said Dr. Beck. “PhaseV brings these considerations together in an integrated platform that can help sponsors strengthen their development strategies and improve the quality of individual trials. I am pleased to advise the team as it expands this work.”

Dr. Kulkarni has led the development and commercialization of technologies that accelerate research and improve clinical workflows. As CEO of InoRx, he brings extensive experience in global product strategy, machine learning, cloud architecture and digital transformation for life sciences organizations. He previously led Cognizant’s global life sciences business, a division generating more than $1 billion in revenue and serving biopharma and medical device companies across R&D, technology and digital transformation. His background also includes leadership roles at Accenture, IQVIA and Booz & Co., along with board positions at clinical data and technology companies including ThoughtSphere. Dr. Kulkarni holds an MBA from Stanford University, a PhD and MS in Pharmaceutics from Temple University, and a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Bombay.

“AI Conductor addresses a longstanding challenge in clinical development by connecting the documents, data standards and analyses required to move from protocol development through regulatory reporting,” said Dr. Kulkarni. “Bringing protocols, statistical analysis plans, case report forms, SDTM and ADaM datasets, tables, listings, figures and clinical study reports into a single, traceable workflow reduces fragmented handoffs and repeated work. This gives sponsors a practical path to faster and more consistent clinical development at enterprise scale.”

As members of the Scientific Advisory Board, Dr. Beck and Dr. Kulkarni will advise PhaseV on product development, scientific application, sponsor workflows and enterprise adoption as the company expands AI Conductor across global clinical development organizations.
